Create
a POD of no more than 4, no fewer than 3 people.

In
all of the activities below, you may NOT make any references to illegal or
inappropriate activities or behaviors.

You
are going to create a campaign poster recommending the ideal team to run the
Executive branch of Government.
1. Nominate someone for
President. It could be anyone. For example, you could choose someone
currently in office, someone you know personally, a celebrity, a historical
figure, a fictional character, etc. You
must be able to provide a picture or photograph of this person, and write a
brief summary of this person’s platform, or main points of what he or she would
do for the country if elected. ALSO,
choose 3 of the 6 chief roles of the president described in Chapter 9 of your
textbook: Head of State, Chief Executive,
Chief Legislator, Economic Planner, Party Leader, Chief Diplomat, and Commander
in Chief and explain why your candidate is best suited for each of the three
roles you select.
2. Nominate a running mate
as Vice President. You must be able to
provide a picture or photograph of this person, and write a brief summary of
what you feel qualifies this person to take over the Presidency should anything
happen to the President.
3. Select 6 of the existing
cabinet positions to be retained in this new Presidency, and provide brief
descriptions of the functions of these positions. Appoint Secretaries to head them. You must be able to provide a picture or photograph of these
people, and attach a picture of the outgoing cabinet member (attached) next to
your nominee. Be sure to explain why
your nominee is qualified for this position.
4. Be prepared to present
your Executive Branch to the class.
